The Pageland Youth Development Coalition attended the Lynches River Health Fair at their annual meeting on October 21, 2007. Coalition members, volunteers and students with Teen Institute greeted and shared information with over 300 attendees. Coalition promotional items were distributed and approx. 125 parents participated in our parent survey.
PYDC volunteer, Mary Blythe Chipman, spoke to approximately 450 students at Petersburg Primary's Red Ribbon Week celebration on Friday, October 20, 2007. Students participated in the presentation "How to make Good Choices".
Seven members of Central High School's Teen Institute Club attended SC's state leadership camp June 5-9, 2007. Members from Pageland will return with a community service learning project for school year 2006-2007. (For more information on TI pls click the Teen Institute link on the left menu.)
